Divorce Care

Pomona First Baptist’s DivorceCare program uses a DVD-based curriculum that has been developed by a national Christian organization.  Each week there is a lesson on a particular subject followed by a small group discussion. Table discussions are facilitated by trained volunteers who have personally experienced divorce and have successfully managed its consequences.

Examples of the topics covered in this program include:
     -What’s happening to me?
     -The road to healing/finding help
-Facing my anger…depression…loneliness (over different weeks)
     -Financial survival
     -New relationships
     -Single sexuality
     -Forgiveness
     -Reconciliation

There is no cost for the class only a $13 fee for the workbook. Scholarships are  available for all who have a need. Divorce Care is designed so that you can start in on any of the sessions. We run three 13 week series throughout the year so you can begin right away. Call to get more information or to find out when you can start. .

Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K) is a program for children ages 5-12 who have experienced separation or divorce in their families. DC4K meets at the same time as DivorceCare in room F101. DC4K combines games, crafts, activities, music and DVD dramas to create a fun atmosphere where children feel comfortable and accepted. They look forward to each time their DC4K “family” gets together. There is no charge for DC4K.

For more information about DC4K call our PFB Children’s Ministries 909-629-5277 x3036.

Pomona First Baptist also offers great ministry activities for children from nursery through High School on Wednesday nights while parents are participating in Divorce Care.
